و اخيراً أن الوصول الى الكهف ليس بالامر السهل فعلى الزائر السفر جوا من تشيلي الى أقرب مدينة من الكهف و التي تبعد 800 ميل و من ثم السفر برا لمسافة 200 ميل للوصول الى الكهف.يذكر أن الأنهار التي تصب في البحيرة مهددة بالخطر الناجم عن التطور العمراني و بناء السدود الذي تسعى له الحكومة التشيلية.
